2 hours until Leap Day

I needed a promo pic for a class where I'm designing the back of a book that I was the author for. My book is called Lunar Love - I penned the name during the night of the eclipse. I'll post the project when it's completed next week.

These shots turned out well. When we start our pop-rock drum/guitar band these will definitely be on our tour poster.

200th post

Thank you to all of my fans that have been with me through the double century mark. See you again in another hundred.

We're in college, right?

I'm stealing this story from my girlfriend:

Corinne is in a speech class that is based around professionalism and business. They are to treat their speeches like they would a real job and they are supposed to show an elevated manner when doing so (these are the future bosses of America).

A girl steps up to do her speech and attempts to get her PowerPoint ready on the computer. Unfortunately, the PowerPoint is not working and in the middle of the class the girl states: "ugh, this is gay".

The professor of this very class just happens to be a homosexual.

Future leaders of America or future clerks at Kohl's?

No Buses

Corinne and I dined at Moshi Moshi last night and enjoyed some delicious sushi. Eating sushi is unlike any other food because as it goes down it makes you feel good inside. Unlike a cheeseburger which can feel good, but then the guilt of losing a month from your life sets in.

After dinner we decided to be creative and make some art. Enjoy.

you have to fight to stay control of this situation

remember when we walked around in the winter and took pictures? it was simpler then. i know you won't read this, but i'm thinking about you.

i stayed up all night making it

That's my Valentine's Day card in the background. It's an Exploding Dog comic with a personal inscription from my lady. She likes me so much, that she'll even edit pictures and insert text boxes for me.

I really don't like school. I feel like I'm still 18 taking classes I am required to take (Brit Lit? 18th Century Lit? Who Cares Lit) and it's sucking any academic fun out of college for me. I have fully accepted the fact that I'll just be one of those adults who doesn't use their major in whatever they are doing after college. I recall learning that Einstein did poorly in school and I don't think this guy was studying Political Science when he was 20.

Shorts, baseball, mini-golf, and porches

I feel like school is getting in the way of my education.

New Gadgets, New Pictures

top hats and pictures on my wall

Sunday rain storms leave a hint of spring in the air.

Feelin' good. Feelin' g.o.o.d.

Go away WBC; you're the only ones who don't understand your joke.

I feasted on the best Chinese meal I've ever experienced last night.

Feelin' good.

Flower Girl

This is the only picture I could get off my camera. I'm going to run down to Wolf Camera and fix the adapter situation as soon as the last period is pressed.

The Rock, Paper, Scissors Challenge went really well. There were eight teams and everyone was enthusiastic. The Daily Herald was there, and I felt sorry for the guy because you could tell he drew the short straw.

Tonight some friends and I are headed to Dave & Busters. Not everyone is 21 and I've heard different rules so we're just going to go for it and hope it works out. I love the contrast between adulthood and acting like a selfish 8 year old.

Corinne and I have muted the drums with t-shirts and we're hoping that helps the echo. We're not too sure how to learn so any suggestions would help.

Happy Birthday Mark Miskell. We'll see you soon; I promise.

I'm Not Happy With You Wolf Camera

My adapter for my camera is still malfunctioning and since I cannot just hop on my bike and ride down to Wolf Camera, it may be a few days.

Corinne and I set up the drum set and started playing yesterday. It's a beautiful 8-piece red set that snuggly fits into her section of her apartment. We started playing and after 20 minutes there was a knock on the door. WONC's own Cathi Martin wasn't having any of it, and requested we stop playing. We're now in the market for some sort of mute pads, but I heard old t-shirts work.

I'm doing PA tonight for a Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament on campus. Yeah, you read that right. Updates tomorrow for sure.

Arizona in less than one month.

I have to run to work. And by work, I mean picking up two textbooks and then drinking hot chocolate and reading.

Keep You in the Dark

Corinne and I bought a drum set today.

Good night.

2.10.2008

I tried to post a picture for today, but the adapter I bought for the memory card is not working with my computer at the moment. If I leave it in too long it gets a little warm, so much that I took it out today and smelled burning. Hopefully this little problem fixes itself so I don't have to march down to Wolf Camera and demand answers for my lack of knowledge.

If you or anyone you know needs a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade (remember how much you loved this game?) tell me and we can work out a deal.

I guess this picture will leave you visually pleased today.

Bowling

Corinne and I went bowling tonight. We split the 2 games, each winning 1 and losing 1. I bowled one strike. After I let go of the ball, I turned around and pompously walked towards Corinne; at the exact moment the ball hit I stuck my arms out in glory. Strike.

True story.

Chinese New Year

NCC has a popular Chinese program and tonight was the Chinese New Years celebration. Good food and friends mixed with acupuncture, games, and kicking through wooden boards is always good fun.

Prison Break and Rock Band

While in Japan the 4 boys and I became addicted to Prison Break. We watched 2.5 seasons and then were lucky enough to come back and catch the second half of the third season on Monday nights. Matt plays host with his Naperville house, Trader Joe's snacks, oversized television, and post-game Rock Band. Our group has grown and it makes Monday nights something to look forward to.
