we all live on a planet of ice

Major (or minor) occurrences in August:

-Greg, Joiner, and I continued the tradition with the 2nd Annual Downtown Biking Trip. Justin wasn't able to make the trip with a major commitment to Osco (I know, right?). We had a great time even though we were a man down. We visited the world-renowned Superdawg and had ourselves some tasty Chicago hot dogs, stopped at a thrift store in Wicker Park and I purchased a turquoise shirt with all types of penguins on it, and we took a little dip in the lake. After around 20 miles of riding we called it a day and headed back to Metra for the trip home. Hopefully, we can continue this as we age ever so gracefully.

-NISRA and I have ended our relationship after 2 summers. It was more difficult and less rewarding than I thought it would be. I met some good kids on the way though (i.e. Bob - picture coming soon-). I'm not 100% sure where I'll be next summer, but it was a memorable experience to look back at.

-After 10 Holocaust books this spring I hadn't been reading much this summer. With all of the Harrry Potter hype I got caught up and started reading the books with the hope of catching my interest. I had read the original in high school so I started the 2nd and currently I am beginning the 5th very soon. Quick reads with interesting twists are always good to bring you back to books, so we'll see how far I can get before I depart for the big continent.

-Does anyone need a couch for the fall? My babe, Veronica, needs a residence while I am gone and I have not found her a home yet. If interested contact 1-800-couchesthatcost$25butmakegreatlovers.

-I'm excited about some grey striped pants I purchased today. This is the first article of clothing that has not cost me less than $5 in a long time. I am turning around my fashion sense as we speak. Summer was a time of cut-offs and Dunkin Dount t's. Prepare yourself for a new boy to appear as the fall closes in.

-This video is worth watching - Planet of Ice - because these guys should be your favorite band of the month. You should also watch this because it shows how animals are cooler than people - animals rawr - enjoy.

-If you want something from Asia, tell me now. I will decide your importance to me and get back to you with or without present.

-Music of the summer:
-- White Stripes' Icky Thump
-- Michael Jackson's Thriller
-- anything by the Arctic Monkeys
-- the new Tegan and Sara jams

I hope you are doing things that make you happy.
